This was a lot of work but in the end it was well worth it! I will try and explain everything as best as I can! Here are some photos that were taken before I tore it down... It came as a 14 bolt 8 lug with a disc brake conversion that I could not use since my truck is 6 lug! With no Differential Cover

Here comes the parts! Here is the new disc brake kit that I need to convert to a 6 lug I had to get 3.73 gears since the rear originally had 4.10(I wish I could have left it 4.10 but I wanted to be able to use my 4X4) This is the ring and pinion! All the perches for the leaf springs and shocks I had to grind off and re-weld because they did not line up.... So this help me up by like a day to start driving ole black again!

Assembling the Disc brake brackets.. The only negative thing about this kit is when I switched out the axle shafts it changed the length by like 1/4 of an inch and I had to do some fabricating welds to make it work.. So if you have ever done brakes before once the brackets are in its self explanatory from there.. Sealed up the differential! The finished project on the disc brake assembly! The installed 14 bolt... So like an idiot I tried to see if the old Universal joint would work knowing in the back of my head that I would run into problems... Well I installed it and drove around the neighbor hood resulting in a nerving vibration.. So needless to say I had one made correctly and installed this one to beautiful perfection! Meaning no more vibrations! I found out that I am not patient enough to take a bunch of pictures for a build thread... I am missing the ring and pinion removal and installation.. The pre-installation of the rear(Once I realized that I had to cut off the perches), the final installation. And I could have shown more on the brake installation and customization!
